At Australian Tax Solutions, we specialise in preparing Australian tax returns for Individuals who do not live in Australia but are still required to lodge a tax return. This includes:
- Permanent residents
- Non-resident landlords
- 457 visa holders
- Working holiday makers
The Australian Tax Year runs from 1st July to 30th June each year. If you have earned income from an Australian source during that time, chances are you have to submit an Australian tax return.
The deadline for filing your Australian Tax Return is October 31st each year. If you use a registered tax agent you can get an extension of up to mid-May the following year. Tax returns lodged late can incur late filing fees and penalties from the Australian Tax Office.
We also prepare and submit superannuation refund claims for temporary residents that have departed Australia permanently and no longer hold a visa. Under the current legislation there is no deadline for these claims to be submitted.
